Considering the Big12 truly does not see a single candidate worthy of inclusion to their Conference it would make sense they would plug their nose and only pick two rather than plug their nose and come up with 4 schools who they really don't think deserve to be playing with them. I understand the numbers side of the revenue generated for each team added but these arrogant douche nozzles actually don't think the G5 schools are worthy. No matter what candidates end up getting selected, I hope you go into the Big12 and stomp their ass on the Football field

Not to mention, every single member of the media was convinced B12 expansion was dead less than 2 weeks ago, when nothing could have been farther from the truth. The media got deked.

And now all of them are spouting off about who is in or not. They don't know anything. Hardly anybody who does will not talk to them, and the ones who do throw out garbage.

For a lot of reasons, I'm not getting involved in any Houston/BYU/UC/Memphis/UConn/UCF/other programs discussions, but it is true that Dodd knows less than people of this board.

That actually makes sense. If something big like this is going on at a school, it is impossible to keep it quiet until the end. Nobody is going to walk straight up to the media and spill the beans. But they will tell their associates privately, and that gets around a bit.

I know that the Big 12 has thrown out false scents to the media over the last few months. Memphis admin has done the same with boosters, at times.

Look back over realignment history since 2010, when all this movement started. The media has never broken a realignment story more than a few hours before the official presser, IIRC. Most catch them completely unaware, like the expansion announcement from the Big 12 2 weeks ago, when every person in the media thought it was dead. And no, the BIg 12 did not turn on a dime with the ACCN announcement. They knew that was coming for months. And the Big 12 has been working on expansion hard for the past year, and through the expansion committee for almost 3 years now. Yet the media never got a whiff.

Boosters and people close to admin always find out before the media.

Let's not go give the B12 too much credit for being an organized and unified group just yet. They just happen to be the least sloppy soup sandwich of the lot.

Well, I think it would be good for folks here to watch how it plays out and gauge who is credible here and who isn't. Any conference can make final adjustments in the last weeks, but they wouldn't jump from candidates A, B, C, D to E, F, G, H or from 4 to 2 or vice versa. There are untold number of scenarios presented here with real or inferred authority and there will be one that is correct.

Agreed...he posted some horrendous rumors off as informed insider info back when the ACC was being tested by the realignment crowd.
