You make no sense.

Gotta point....UConn already travels to Dallas and Houston...

You have it backwards. Texas having to go to UCONN. Of course UConn wouldn't care if they got an invite to a P5. They'd play baseball and hockey on the moon if it meant being in a P5.
Cheers!

Easier flight to Hartford and 15 minute drive to UConn's stadium than it is to get to ECU's stadium.

Easier drive in the car, truck, van and RV. That's how most of us college football fans do it. Other than the players, I honestly don't know any college football fan who takes a flight to a college football game. I guess they do it differently in the NE (NFL country) then we do it in mid west, south and Texas....Do you fly to the games? Where do you put the grill and other tailgating supplies? How many people fly with you?

Cheers!

A significant # of Notre Dame fans fly in for each game - really rich fly to South Bend, upper middle class fly to Chicago. Michigan and OSU also have many fans that fly in for each game.

My wife and I fly in for a couple of New Mexico State games a year. Wish we could make them all.

I don't know if you're joking or if yours is a serious post.

But the distance/travel concerns don't relate to football, or to fans.

They relate to sending Olympic sports teams far away.

One football game far away every two to three years doesn't matter to schools. Fans traveling doesn't matter. They would schedule games in Timbuktu if it meant more $$$. What does matter is the cost of sending Olympic sports across the country constantly.
