@EmeldaBrown Sadly he reported several weeks ago some info and it has all came true. He may actually have good sources

@GeoffEneman I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. UT administration is very content.

Those are the 4, IMO. Memphis and UC were allegedly told some time ago.

I do think the expansion bids will be announced before the season kicks off.

C. Austin Cox has been scary right so far and has had MEM/Cincy for weeks. Said other 2 were not decided if they go 14. I take it w a grain of salt....or maybe a grain of kosher salt.

These are the four that make the most sense geography wise.
UC provides West Virginia a close conference mate.

Memphis is a bridge between the heart of Big 12 Country and Cincinnati.

Houston strengthens The Big 12 as the most eastern member of The Big 12's most important state.

BYU is a national brand.

Excellent selections by The Big 12.

C Austin Cox has a source that is spot on. I don't know who he knows for how he is getting the info, but for how accurate he has been the last couple of months he has someone he speaks with that knows what is going on. Wouldn't surprise me if it is someone from Cincy since he is from there.

He is the guy to follow on twitter for B12 expansion for this go around.

Those 4 probably make the most sense for the Big12 to snatch up.

Not sure they will care. Folks at a few B12 schools who are cellar dwellers should be worried about being pushed farther down.

Would not be shocking, BYU, Cinci and Houston appeared to be the top 3. Was figuring Memphis or UCONN for the last spot.

He doesn't seem to think UH will get the votes to be included. Hope he is wrong.

If true, this completely cripples the AAC. UCONN football might go Indy and place other sports in the Big East

I would worry about Texas being "content" if I was the Big XII and/or any expansion candidate.

I won't lose any sleep over it but Memphis would be surprising to me given their lower academic standing. Still if it's these four I say congratulations and ask who replaces the three in the AAC? This is getting interesting maybe I should make some popcorn...

NIU I bet for TV ratings to help float the deal.

If unable to do a quasi merger with the MWC, I thin Southern Miss and NIU would be solid adds

I remember people said that about Louisville and the ACC. We saw how that turned out. Think the days of "academics" for college football are long gone.
