Although the Republican Convention appears to have shifted a significant number of voters to Trump, it also seems to have strengthened support among Clinton supporters.

In addition to asking voters who they will likely vote for, the Daybreak poll also asks them to rate the likelihood of their voting on a 0 to 100 point scale. Among Clinton fans, the likelihood of voting has increased from a low of 80.4 points on July 10 to a high of 84.6 points in the most recent results, while Trump’s numbers have remained steady.

It remains to be seen whether Clinton will enjoy the same post-convention spike as Trump in the weeks to come. The Democratic presidential nominee will speak at the DNC on Thursday to accept her nomination.

Yup, you're probably right on both counts.

These are nice, but to get a more realistic picture, we'll have to wait until a few weeks after the DNC wraps up to get a better base barometer of where the two major candidates are.

Then, of course, there will be the debates, which should be wildly entertaining if nothing else.

Those debates' ratings will be through the roof.
