In the past 3-4 days, USF has picked up 11 commits, including 4 star athlete Bruce Judson and 8 other 3 star recruits. Again, all within the past couple days. I've never seen so many recruits commit all at once. Taggart is once again reeling them in.

Good call we are up to 12 and a few more could come soon.
Judson is a HUGE get.

By the way, Judson was an Ohio State commit, before switching to USF. Apparently, he's being told he can compete at QB and is in the Quinton Flowers mold.

Doesn't matter as he will likely not play this year, so he will have time to get bigger and stronger.
Biggest thing is that he could be bringing other big recruits to USF

Why? You mean no one has done this before? Please we have lost many kids to P5 schools that told them that and end up transferring. The difference is wether you actually do give them the shot. Taggart did that with Flowers and many thought it was just a plan to sign him and we all know how it turned out.

Rivals shows the 4 star a 3 star and a 2 star committed. USF still ranked 55th. They only show a 4 star Judson and 4 other 3 star commitments total.

i think usf has found the formula offering elite athletes who play qb who have no shot at playng qb elsewhere and giving him then a shot

looking at usf' qb situation i think he has to be the favorite.."the guys behind flowers" are almost exclusively pro style, literally the 2 main qbs on the roster who will be there after flowers graduates run a 4.89 (i just googled)

meaning youd have to dramatically change the offense if one of them won the job

jusdson is essentially flower, and the only qb on your roster with even a slight chance of keeping the same offensive momentum and building on that offense instead of restart.... but we'll see

The 8 3 stars were on 24/7. We're ranked 53rd on Rivals due to number of total commits. We have way less total commits that anyone else but are still 3rd in AAC. The number of total commits is why we are that low.

As I said, ranking low because we only have 12 commits, however 11 of them have committed in the past few days.

For example, USF is only ranked 5th in AAC right now on 247, but if you go by composite average per recruit, it goes up and we're ranked ahead of Memphis, and only behind Houston and UCF (barely). We might have a small overall class and that will hurt us in class rankings. The 247 rankings is where I got the 1 4 star and 8 3 star figure. It seems most go by the 247 rankings now.

Actually not completely true Woulrad is more of a pro style, the other one Kean is more of a dual threat which is why he did better than Woulard in the Spring game. But certainly Judson is more athletic than the two back ups. I just don't see him winning the back up spot in his first year or beating out Flowers in next two.
So yes he will be given a shot at QB and if he wins it then fantastic and if he doesn't he us athletic enough to play at another position.

Possibly, but I think Woulard and/or Kean will get the first crack. They both should get mop up time this fall so we should know more then. We have no experience back up as of now and that worries me a little.
