We might not hang on to him until the end but as long as he is committed he brings a lot of attention and helps in recruiting in the Tampa area

Actually if that was true then he would have a point. But the facts are that USF has not had the best talent the past few years.

But let's see what happens this year, that's all I'm interested in.

Jermaine Eskridge, an Ohio State target in '18, commits to South Florida after not including Bulls in top five

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- South Florida is gaining some momentum.

Though four-star wide receiver Jermaine Eskridge of Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson released a top five early this week that included Ohio State, Alabama, Miami (Fla.), Oregon and Florida, he committed to South Florida on Thursday.

Eskridge's commitment comes a day after South Florida earned a commitment from four-star athlete Bruce Judson of Cocoa, Fla., who was once the first commitment in Ohio State's 2017 class.

Rated the No. 7 athlete in the 2018 recruiting class in the 247Sports composite rankings, Eskridge initially released a top three that indicated Ohio State was his top school. A day later, he added Florida and Oregon to his list.
