Chargrilled oysters at Drago's in the Hilton in the CBD,and pretty much anything on the menu at Redfish Grill on Bourbon, just off Canal. Can't do wrong with either of those, along with some of the others already mentioned in this thread.
Drago's has the best chargrilled oysters ever. Hands down.

Tulane game
I know this is super late, but for anyone staying tomorrow, one of the best meals of my life was at Jacques-Imo's down there. I think it's actually close to Tulane, right next to the maple leaf bar. Wait in there and have an Abita or two while you wait on a table.

Superior Seafood is hard to beat too. It's a convenient stop on the St Charles streetcar. Great Friday night oyster happy hour - and the raw oysters were great.

Yep, agree whole-heartedly on Superior Seafood. Never had the oysters there - can't get past the other good stuff!
Definitely have to remember to bring my "fat pants" when I go to NOLA....

Sorry it took so long but I just wanted to thank everyone, especially SouthernBoiNOLA, for the info. The Prytania Park Hotel was nice. We had a room with a loft that had a very narrow spiral staircase to access it. It was different. My wife liked it in general. The only complaint was the musty smell when we entered the room. But after a few minutes inside the room you didn't notice it. Uber worked out great. Rates were low both ways. Didn't get in town on Friday in time to go anywhere to eat. On Saturday we spent most of the day at the museum and ate there. Sat night we just walked over to the Irish House I think it was, and got something to eat and drink. Had a great time. Again, thank you everybody for all the info.
