Bobcat 2013. No sure which stations you get in San Marcos, but the ASN 24 hr channel is on 35.2 in San Antonio. The CW channel. The will show Saturday game on the .1 channel but the I'm sure other games will be on the .2 channel.

I wish I lived in San Marcos still. I live about an hour north of Austin.

Sinclair owns WTGS in Savannah but I have never seen a CUSA game on it plus they didn't pick up the Arizona Bowl last year like other ASN stations did so hopefully they will at least show our ASN games should we have any.

Part of the problem is WTGS is a Fox station so the have access to better content and just pickup some of the ASN feeds. Most of the other stations that show more content are the second tier stations like CW.

I hope they do a better job with setting up the network idea. Myrtle Beach has one of the stations designated as part of the network so hopefully they pickup most of the SBC games so the market can watch our conference mates.

RE: TV Deal Renegotiating
What you've seen ASN carry in the past is somewhat irrelevant.

One of your local TV stations has agreed to show the package, otherwise, they wouldn't be doing it. ASN games haven't all been shown here in the past, but the SBC games will be this season.

The whole idea behind this is to get a few more games on terrestrial TV. Also and just as important, this package also includes basketball and baseball games.

There's no new money for the SBC in this. ASN is paying ESPN3 to carry the games. ESPN3 is not a money maker so they jumped at the chance.

Aggie Vision was a pretty good broadcast.

Danny Gamboa just kept messing it up.

I'm sure Ga Sou games would be picked up.

WTGS did show some ODU, FIU & FAU football & basketball games last season in HD. I don't know the logic behind why they chose the game they did, but those were the ones I was able to watch. The commentary was reasonable, the good thing about ASN is they focus on the game and the conference during the broadcast.

They had a few problems though:
1. They had trouble convincing their affiliates to buy into the sports channel.
2. ASN only had CUSA and a bunch of FCS leagues. I would watch the CUSA games then switch when the Howard game came on. I most definitely would have stayed on the channel to watch Ga State beat Ga Sou 04-cheers
3. Because of ( 1 ) you may not have a broadcast of a game in your city but they did stream all their games. That was the first year then inexplicably it was MIA last year.

ASN is trying to get to a critical mass in viewership. I think they are gambling that the number of non-P5 college sports fans is greater than the P5s. They are also hoping that those non-P5 fans are so starved for content that they are willing to ignore the growing pains of their startup network.

We played UAB and Southern Miss last season and both are aired on ASN. Unfortunately I couldn't pick either up in Atlanta and there were no streams available so I had to listen old school through the radio. That's why I couldn't care less about ASN and would prefer not bother unless it's still on ESPN3

The Big South has had some game son ASN and it was frustrating as someone who couldn't get the channel and the games weren't available to stream.

But I think the strategy is smart. Start out small, keep your expenses low and build capacity. It is better than spending a ton of money and needing to turn a profit immediately. They also bought The Tennis Channel last year - so that could play into their strategy at some point if they decide to expand the focus of that channel.

What are the odds that the local Arkansas station still won't carry the games on its main channel despite adding the Sun Belt?

Maybe I missed them but I did look several times to see if they were carrying the ASN game I wanted to check out and each time I looked no CUSA game was on.
