Is this crappy media deal a reflection on Judy's competence? We all knew the money sucked, but now it looks more and more like the actual exposure sucks too. ODU gets 3 games on TV?! We literally had better exposure as an FCS team. I'm not sure if this is on Judy or not, but something has to change or this conference can't survive. We've all dropped revenue by $900,000 each, lost rivals and cut our media exposure by at least half or worse under her watch. Thoughts?

RE: Judy
The conference comissioner, like the head coach, or QB, often gets too much of the credit/blame.
Wright Waters was blamed for everything that went wrong in the Sun Belt and perhaps someone else could have done more, but it wasn't exactly the most attractive bill of goods...

RE: Judy
The current TV contract doesn't reflect on her at all. The crappy deal and declining revenues are why Banowsky hit the road. No commish could have gotten this league a better contract this year. C-USA Presidents refuse to pay a large number of mid-week games, so C-USA content is not as valuable as Sun Belt or the MAC.

The reality is that Banowsky panicked and added too many teams. This league should be at 12 teams, and 10 would probably be better.

He didn't panic the cartel changed the rules after we went to 14 and he big east raid of the MWC fell through. That's one of the problems with being proactive instead of reactive

In a few months he may look like a genius picking that many teams when we have 10 left...Good thing he did pick that many teams, otherwise CUSA would have not had a ranked football team last season...

Why was there a need for 14 instead of 12?

That is not necessarily true. I'm assuming that you mean WKU would not be in the conference if CUSA weren't at 14 teams. If that were the case, WKU would not have beaten the CUSA teams that they beat last year, and those Ls would have most likely been replaced with Ws, as least for the top teams in the league. That chain reaction may have allowed a team to sneak into the polls.
On the other hand, it's not like having one ranked team during the season (unless that team is highly ranked) is going to do a lot for the conference any way. It certainly did not help with the media deal.
That said, I am very glad that WKU is in the league. They were a very good addition.

If that's the case no one has helped CUSA since UofL left
2014 Marshall 20th
2013...O
2012...0
2011 Houston 18th S.Miss 20th
2010 UCF 21ST Tulsa 24th
ZERO ranked in the finial poll from 2005 up to 2010
UofL #6 in 2004
But then again I noticed you said during the season...and to that I say nice cherry picking because unless a school finishes in the top 25 are they really top 25?

I also said 1 team. More than 1 makes the conference appear stronger... like the AAC last season. Multiple teams in the national rankings does a lot for the perception of the conference, and also the media attention, especially if they play each other while ranked. Notice the difference in the media attention for the 2011 Championship game and the 2015 Championship game.
