Adding ECU? That's ludicrous; I'd go for Towson, Loyola, Navy, etc. any day before even (if ever) considering adding ECU.

I like your positive thinking. I would go with the SoCon or CAA for easy travel purposes. Unlike football, basketball and baseball have a real tournament in which all conference champs are in. We would be fine.

But I also want to keep at least the current baseball recruiting level in tact.

So would I. As long as we keep cliff Godwin our recruiting will be good. Coastal just won the national championship out of the Big South conference. We could do the same out of the CAA and save a ton on travel.

You can't do that in football because of the corrupt system.

Lol at the idea of someone considering ECU asking the BE for Olympic membership as plausible.

The Big East will decline an all-sports bid from ECU, but then invite Denver for all sports.
