this isn't as simple as someone making a comment in favor of something. this is a govt of a nuclear power and the biggest geopolitical opponent of the US using a freaking spy agency to hack a political party, and release the most damaging intel possible knowing full well the ramifications of what that would mean. so please. use a little common sense here.

LOL. you guys have no shame. with you guys it's nothing but smear campaign after smear campaign with a BS notion regarding some scandal that you always insist is "worse than watergate." no politician in modern history has been as heavily investigated as clinton and yet the best you have is an email server and the DNC emails, both of which while legitimate, are pretty trivial. we are all naive if we don't think the primary process is rigged as hell. the primaries for over a century have been about protecting the party over due process. the very concept of a superdelegate should clue you in on that. the email server, again a scandal, but are you seriously going to pretend that presidents going back a century have been keeping massive amounts of govt documents under wraps for the very same reason.

Think if I hacked a presidential candidate and there was some good stuff to be found I'd want them to win.

Since the Russians hacked Hillary's server and they haven't released anything found there, kind of blows that they want her to lose out of the water.

A little fact checking for you would be a good thing

1) you made 4 post in this thread and I responded to one. You've made over 11,000. I'm confident I haven't responded to you anywhere NEAR 5,000 times. I've posted in 4 of the 50 threads on the front page of this forum. I don't know how many you've posted in, but I certainly don't follow you (or anyone else) around... nor have I said anything about your comments in numerous other posts in this very thread

3) I've never once said I was always far and polite... I certainly have encouraged it (especially when acting in my role as a mod, which isn't what I'm doing here) but have frequently admitted that I sometimes fail to live up to it myself. If you think my comment violated the AUP, then report me. To act as if I'm not allowed to engage in the same sort of thing as anyone else, just because I'm a mod is false (on its face).

Maybe you're unaware, but it's actually frequently part of our foreign policy to try and influence elections in other countries... and we probably pay people pretty handsomely to try and hack their emails... We recently bugged the German Chancellor's phone, didn't we? That WAS our government. I'm sure there are lots of others actively trying to do the same. The biggest reason why Russia is a problem is PROBABLY because their government probably has a deal with the hackers that basically says... as long as you don't hack us, we're not going to prosecute you for hacking.

That's actually why Hillary's 'server' issue was such a big deal.

But no... a foreign government trying to influence our election isn't (imo) a moment. A candidate who knowingly and intentionally violated federal policy to prevent such things is. A party that tries to claim that saying you like Mexicans (at least in part) because you like Mexican food is 'racist' and thus everyone associated with them is racist, but someone who makes fun of someone's ethnic name is not and doesn't. I laugh at that implication.
