What freshman or redshirt freshman is everyone looking forward to seeing in action?

What about the transfers and Juco players?

Just trying to get this forum going with a new subject. (Or is it an old subject?)

True frosh Matt Sexton, I think he plays this year rather than redshirts at WR or maybe KR.

Redshirt: Turner at RB. He looked ready at the spring game.

Transfers: I would say the 2 DL simply because this is an area that needs improvement.

RE: New FB Players
I'll give you my 2 cents once camp starts, the pads go on, real scrimmages and drills start happening, and coaches are fully involved.

I have a feeling there are going to be a LOT of changes.

Already hearing ridiculous news about suspensions that'll make your head spin. I'll let that get disclosed by the staff sooner or later.

Ohh gosh not this again. Can we get through one offseason without suspensions?

Apparently CC is very strict on drug violations including suspensions.

That suggests that our first game has to be against a FCS team because of possible shorthandedness (guess it isn't a word, but it is for our FB team).

I'm with '79 - also hoping our OL depth improves, or we have serious problems in the future.

Grades will be clearing some other guys out, in addition to the suspensions.

RE: New FB Players
Well one questions would be does suspension mean they sit out a few games or they got kicked off the team?

For all the emphasis on academics, I guess I'm surprised we have some players who are having problems. Again are they off the team or ineligible for this year?

I'd be curious as to how many players we're talking about being suspended vs academic related problems without going into specific player names.

RE: New FB Players
Others have mentioned this before me, but sometimes I feel our programs are jinxed, football alone this year has bad HBO press, losing a long time directors of operations, now the strength and conditioning coach, suspensions, academics (recall some highly touted redshirt frosh purportly left for those reasons). Like a cold shower before the season even starts.

I believe suspensions for failed drug tests are (reported when CC came on board):

1). One game,

2). Then one season,

3). Then gone.

My question as I believe others have noted when discussing drug testing in this decade:

Does someone fail a drug test for doing what is legal in some states in the U.S.A.?

my understanding is that employers can still set conditions like no drugs even states where the drug may be legal I assume universities and athletics programs can too

I've been reading a lot of your posts and from what I'm able to gather, you've shared that guys are having a hard time following the rules, guys are having a hard time making the grades, and lots of guys don't have the talent to be a D1 player. Is this what support looks like?

Support from me? Or support from the program?

Suspensions and academics can mean different numbers of games, or entire seasons, depending on each particular situation.

I know what I've heard, but I'm not going to put it out there in public, about specific guys. If Creighton comes out publicly during camp, or in a press conference/interview format, I'll give my 2 cents at that point.

Or maybe it only starts to surface during camp when guys aren't getting reps, or participating, or have simply disappeared.

Or maybe it won't be public knowledge until the first game when the guys take the field, and fans go wtf, where is this guy or that guy.

We'll see how it plays out when camp opens I guess. Unfortunately we don't have much real coverage of the program from outside sources, so this stuff getting out will most likely come from within, or from observations of camp and practices. This stuff would already be common knowledge in a lot of other programs.
