I get the public the campaign to show their fans they are trying but damn.

Yeah it's pretty weak.

got to give them an "A" for effort, few days ago their AD held a press conference to make a case for the move to the Big12, got the attention of ESPN's Feinbon (no idea how to spell his name), basically ripped them apart. Its not going to happen, but I think ECU fanbase is seeing the writing on the wall, if they miss this opportunity, it might be a long, long time, if ever, they get another shot. I guess the thinking in Greenville is, what do we got to lose, might as well go for broke.

They barely made the cut as a full member in the AAC, now they're a Big XII candidate...okay.

Well, based on that tweet, Charlotte would be much better given their airport situation.

there AD is just doing what is expected of him, your right about covering his ass, if he did nothing, they would put the blame on him for not being proactive. I feel alittle sorry for ECU, they have built a great football program, passionate fanbase, 45-50 thousand every home game, great stadium, always seem to be making improvements, and trying to build the best program that they possibly can, but they are just so dam far out in the swamplands that the perception is they are just a regional school, in a poor tv market. The Big12 wants national recognized schools, and they just don't fit the bill.

ECU begged for years to get into the Big East, and barely got in when it collapsed and everyone left. I respect their program and they've done about as well as possible considering everything going against it. They have every reason to be proud and hope for better things, but someone at the top there has to be realistic too and recognize they've gone as far as they can go. Theres nothing wrong with that, I wish every team, including mine had the success they've had.

Have to give them credit for trying.

Yeah but you sold your integrity and reputation to do all that. Look at what the AAC schools say about your program when mentioned as a candidate.

ECU isn't in CUSA so I doubt you'll find many of them here to respond to your post. No, wait... Nevermind. Carry on

An ecu bid to the Big 12 on this site is like a Republican getting sympathy from MSNBC.

I meant ecu and auto correct changed it without me noticing. See, did it again.

I'd laugh if the AAC cuts ECU loose as a result of this. Should show some class.
Doubt it would happen though.
