On paper, the kid looks promising, plus he is a local recruit.

Looks like a pretty good defensive back from Florida. He was also talking to North Carolina, Army and Air Force.

If he wants an easy degree we don't stand a chance against UNC.

A New Mexico running back, according to his local paper "the state’s top running back, and one of the top players in state."

Has KSU ever even had a player from New Mexico?

RE: 2017 Football Commitments
That would be intersting considering a former KSU coach is now at New Mexico State...

RE: 2017 Football Commitments
From the Record-Courier today:

"Vance's older brother Nate lettered as a defensive lineman for the Golden Flashes from 2012-14, earning Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors following each of those seasons. Nate, who attended Stow High School while his father was an assistant coach at Kent State, played a key role on the Flashes' 2012 squad that earned a school-record 11 wins and the program's first bowl bid in 40 years."

And

"The Flashes have also reportedly received verbal commitments from 2017 recruits Rodley Jolicoeur, a 5-9, 175-pound defensive back from Delray Beach, Fla.; Cepeda Phillips, a 5-11, 225-pound linebacker from Detroit; Eddie Brecht, a 6-7, 290-pound offensive lineman from Lapeer, Mich.; Sam Allan, a 6-2, 210-pound offensive lineman from Portage, Mich.; Dustin Crum, a 6-3, 190-pound quarterback from Midview High School in Grafton; and A.J. Musolino, a 6-3, 205-pound safety from Struthers."
