It is less surprising than I previously thought though.

He has said through this entire process he would support whomever the eventual democratic nominee was.

So, bull crap to you.

That's a hell of an excuse.

If we really want to weigh out the different values, which one is worth more? Is "Bernie can't be bought," or "Bernie is a loyal foot solider" worth more?

I'll even let you make that call chief.

Which do you think his supporters identified with more? I wonder if those poor saps on r/S4P donating their last $20 were doing that with the understanding that the overall message was the second one? You think?

How many $12 checks did you write for him and his good foot solider message?

Bernie's goal was to shift the platform left. With him no longer able to be at the helm of the democratic party, his hand is forced to do this to keep it left. What should he do? Say **** it at lose all that people who supported him and won over from the DNC already?

He is between a rock and a hard place. Stick with his word? Risk everything and guarantee a Trump win?

Any decision he would've made yall would find a way to bash him. At least with this one he sticks to his word.

And yes. I donated more to the Bernie Sanders campaign than any candidate in the past. And it was more than his $27 average. Since you care. 03-wink

Well, I figured $12 was more your speed. Sorry!

So, foot solider. That's all you had to say. There was no need to waste your time writing the rest of your lame reasoning.

But, the point remains, people didn't give him money to be a foot-solider. They were silly enough to buy what he was putting out--that he was better.

But, no refunds!

If my money helped show he had support and in that pushed the agenda towards a progressive one... money well spent.

Maybe tonight answers where I fall. Maybe November does. We'll see. Either way this race is entertaining as all get out.

Bernie's not stupid. He knows what a disaster a Trump presidency will be and that electing Hillary is likely the only way to prevent that, as Johnson has little shot.

He's worked with democrats for nearly the entirety of his political life. Anyone thinking he was a true independent is misinformed.

In the end, Bernie, and most democrats, would rather have Hillary than Trump. He was in a bad spot and this is just choosing the lesser of two evils from his point of view. And I was never a Bernie supporter.

03-yes

Deep down, they'll mostly all tell you that. At this point, what they're trying to achieve is just to push HRC farther to the left on her issues. And thankfully, I think they're slowly achieving that. But it's going to take some time. Both the DNC and the RNC are just too entrenched for these shifts to happen over night.

She will tell you whatever you want to hear.........then just like Lucy yanks the ball from Charlie Brown - once in office she will bow to the will of those rich 1% folks that have made her wealthy. She is already bought and paid for and anything else she says is just another lie - she tells them all the time.

She hasn't driven a car in 25 years - you think she really relates to the small guy?? Pfff.......

Jimmy Carter was probably the last president who could relate to the small guy. How did that work out?
