My bet is if Hillary loses and Trump has a mediocre 4 years, the Dems nominate a brash leftist cut from the Michael Moore/Bill Maher mold in 2020. I think they'll try the harder core "populist" route, given Trump's success and Bernie's near-success.

Meanwhile on the third party side of things, Gary Johnson won't run again and I'm hesitant to think the Libertarian Party will go the moderate and pragmatic route again, so the LP will revert back to nominating an anarcho purist who wants to abolish driver's licenses and repeal the law of gravity.

So, yes, the 2020 election choice could even be worse.

I thought it was going to be sanders.

Tonight's keynote speaker at the Democratic convention is Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a Clinton campaign official tells Fox News.

Other speakers include Sen. Bernie Sanders, First Lady Michelle Obama and Sen. Cory Booker.

I guess things changed overnight. Last night they were saying it was going to be Sanders.
