Rolleyes Penn State transfer, WR
I haven't anything about us getting a transfer from PSU, but my kids and I met him today. His first name is Ritchy. We met him at the downtown Marriott. He's staying here until is housing is ready. Anyone have any info on him??

They had a wr named Richy Anderson that transferred to Temple last year, he's no longer on the temple roster and should be a jr. Guess that's him.

RE: Penn State transfer, WR
There is a Richy Anderson that was a legacy recruit to Penn State in 2013. Had 13 receptions for 111 yds as a frosh. Left the team after frosh season with three other players. Transferred to Temple for 2014 season, but seems to have left before playing a game. Ended up at Towson State for 2015 season. Was dismissed from the team during the offseason along with Miami transfer Kevin Olsen, brother of Carolina Panthers Greg Olsen.

Towson's two highest-profile recruits, University of Miami transfer quarterback Kevin Olsen and former Penn State wide receiver Richy Anderson, were both dismissed from the program during the 2015 offseason. Olsen never made it onto the practice field for the Tigers.

More from Towson:
https://www.pressboxonline.com/2015/08/1...uarterback

Quote:The other major transfer player in the 2015 recruiting class was former Penn State wide receiver Richy Anderson, who also had some disciplinary issues this spring after going unexcused from practice in March.

"My expectations of him are currently very low," (Towson Head Coach Rob) Ambrose said. "When he's around, he shows what everybody has always said. He has the potential to be a very good football player. But he's got a long way to go, in terms of understanding responsibility -- both personal and team -- before he even gets in the arena of the word success."

RE: Penn State transfer, WR
Following a solid true freshman season in 2013, when the son of former Nittany Lion great Richie Anderson had 13 receptions for 111 yards, he left the program the following spring and transferred to Temple. After sitting out in 2014 per NCAA rules, he transferred to Towson in 2015 but never saw the field for the Tigers last season.

The 400+ days before UAB plays a down will give this youngster plenty of opportunity to show the coaches how much he has learned about personal and team discipline. His maturity will be tested in classes and in conditioning before he earns a spot on the UAB Blazer team. We all wish him the best.

Not to split hairs, but we play a game 355 days from now. Less than a year. 04-cheers

I have to defend Bamanblazerfan here. He posted that on July 24, so he was correct at that time.

My apologies. I totally overlooked it. I'm just a little giddy that we're this "close" to kickoff.

Just 11 weeks until we're on the same schedule as all the teams that aren't going bowling this year. Hoping time will fly after that, but it probably won't.
