Speaking of John Gillon.
Big article on the internet about him transferring to Syracuse, and how he will fit in on their team. He obviously had a really nice career at Colorado State, and the article expresses the premise that his skills will fit in nicely with Syracuse. They mention his exceptional speed and basketball IQ. He is one of the best free throw shooters in the country. He is the only player I can recall that ever left Little Rock for a larger program, and was successful. Mo Isom could be the second.
I have no idea if John would have remained at Little Rock had Steve not brought in that Juco guard after John's Freshman season, but I hated to see him go, because I could see he was a special talent. I wonder if Steve ever regretted that decision? Guess it doesn't matter now, does it?04-cheers

Just imagine what Shields had and didn't play them the right way. John Gillon, Josh Hagins, James White, Mareik Isom, and add Lis to those and that could have been the starting lineup. ( Crazy )
