Some interesting articles on basketball transfers on the internet.
One thing they talk about is "up transferring". Players go to a small school, hone their skills for a year or two, and then move to a larger program. I guess the only player from Little Rock that fits that description was John Gillon. He went to Colorado State, did well, and now has transferred to Syracuse. We've been pretty lucky with some of our good players, who chose to stay with us their entire careers. Most recently Josh Hagins. Like everything else, the landscape in college basketball is ever changing. Not all changes are for the good, but I guess you win some and lose some.04-cheers
