no one said it would cripple UT you are misinterpreting what he meant, he said.

the major rumor is that texas is in the big 12 becuase it is the king of the castle and can do whatever it wants...that if you remove that and start going against texas, texas could realize it would make more money in a different conference..texas can get an invite into any conference it wants.ANY
if you are going to do democracy why not do it why huge state flagships and 10 more mil in your pocket on a more national platform

Precisely is said if UT comes put and supports UH. Them saying they would consider UH is not the same thing as supporting us.

My picks would be uc/memphis and connecticut with houston or usf as the other. My reasons are selfish. I want teams closer to Cincy to build better rivalries. Memphis and WVU are driveable and USF airline tickets are cheap. I also like uconn hoops. I do not want CSU or BYU although early Dec. games would set up for a nice snowboard weekend.

That's true! I'm just very skeptical is all so unless they say they support Houston exactly, I will remain skeptical.

Court called to order

Texas endorses Houstons admission to Big 12

Motives, back door deals, quid pro, cronism, extortion, collusion, etc.

WGAF.

Final ruling. Party on Houston.

( can we end this debate)

Well here is something another user just posted which I feel reinforces my earlier point about UT supporting UH.

This board is going to implode when it is announced Cincy, UH, UConn and BYU to the Big 12/14.
If I were they PAC or BIG I would give UH strong consideration, if they think they can't get UH or UT Austin
even both together. UH is like Rutgers/Maryland adds but they have a higher upside.

UH to the Big 10 is a bigger longshot than UCONN to the Big 10.

BIG does have Rutgers up there. They want to be in Texas, so waiting for UT and another?

the UC getting left out meltdown will be a million times funnier than the AAC losing 3 teams to the big 12 melt down.

I agree. But imagine if by some weird chance Tulsa got called up and Cincy were left behind. They would have to shut this place down.

Im not sad at all.

This is a beautiful thread.

You guys will all come back here in a few months wish Houston the best and come to accept your rightful place with your conference mates (and Rice) for the next fifty years.
