The other side is he would have to give you an honest truthful answer.

I would go with " Do you see yourself at NIU in 5 years?
A yes would make me feel real good.

How about you?

I would like to ask him how much he sleeps each night? He has so much energy and I wonder if he runs on fumes or if he gets a solid eight hours and that is his magic potion?

I would ask him: "Are you upset over the closing of The Paperback Grotto, and what are you now using as a substitute?"

How much have you raised for the upgrade and renovation projects for NIU sports? Are we at 20% - 50% - 90%?

I need to know how excited I should be about changes to facilities (especially Huskie Stadium)

And how much extra you'll be paying to sit in Huskie Stadium.

When will the Athletic department commit the time, energy, recruiting, scholarships, facilities, and coaching salaries to make the non-revenue sports competitive in the Mid-American Conference?

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.

I'd ask him if he ever was lucky enough to attend of one our games of the past. Say, the Maryland game or the Bowling Green game.
The atmosphere and electricity of those games has never been duplicated.
We once filled the stadium, midweek, v. Toledo. It was FREEZING and we lost (and SI featured a pic of the stadium), but again...Have not experienced that feeling in the STF era.
I'd like that back.

It would be really nice to get that feeling back, but I'm not sure it will ever be replicated. There are many reasons, as have been discussed previously on this board. It's a shame, but I don't think college football in general - and the Huskies specifically - will ever see that kind of support again. Too many toys, electronics, social media, etc. to compete for young people's attention. And, the younger people seem to get bored quickly sitting and watching a game for 3 hours (or however long they stay). They need to multi-task while pushing the limits of excitement. So much has changed even over the last decade, and IMO much of it has not been for the better.

More NIU students and Alumni are probably playing Pokemon Go right now then attend a football game.

Plenty of blame to be shared.
Some is societal, as you mentioned.
Some is not.
I don't have the wand, either.

Its true.

Watch any baseball game with the center field camera showing fans with the best seats in the house, right behind home plate......Everybody's on their phone.
