Good for him.
Based on my experiences with him he is certainly deserving of the recognition. Say what you will, it is not a facade with him there is real conviction there.

Needs to produce some Ws on the field, though.

As Vince once said winning is the only thing. Lets hope that great character results in great young men and great wins.

Nice honor, good guy.........but third year preference is better recruiting, 4-6 wins, less nice guy awards.

So is this where we cue up Alice Cooper's "No More Mr. Nice Guy", right?

Curious to see how DeBoer and Creighton handle Roback and the offense this year. If Roback isn't quite a bit better, and the offense stagnates or goes backwards, that's a big red flag, especially with an OLine of 5 Seniors.
There are many different ways, and many types of personalities, that can get the job done. Right now the coaches running the offense, couldn't be more polar opposites, from those running the defense.
I'll give last year's Defense a mulligan because of injuries, and coaching that simply didn't belong at this level. Let's see if there is a discernible difference in the performance of the offense vs that of the defense, this season.

He didn't realize he had a DIII caliber DC until after 2 complete seasons? If he cannot get to 6 wins in year 3 he is toast. Meanwhile, CMU and WMU did a hell of a job with their HC hirings! They sure aren't going to settle for 4-6 wins.

Bob I think the only time in your life when you're uplifting is when you put on a jockstrap.

FBOB. Bob has never been an athlete in his life. Bob was the guy that got beat up by the athletes after they caught him sniffing their jocks in the laundry room. Isn't is blatantly obvious by his comments? He never actually makes a point, it's just this sucks, that sucks, we're terrible, fire the coach.
Listen to what he really says. He pretends to be a pseudo intellectual, always chirping about 'his' University, alluding to how smart he is, yada yada. NEVER an actual coherent football argument, or analysis that anyone actually cares to respond to. Why is that? My guess is the guy is Bunsis Jr. Hates sports and wishes they would all just go away. Sits in front of his computer/TV, waiting intently for EMU to fail, so he can tell the world...."I told you so!" Hates EMU football particularly, most likely because he had some weird kind of jealousy, or run in with the football guys backs in the day.
Good ol' Bob

Hmmm, let's see. I was all league in 2 sports (football and baseball) in high school. Started at QB, point guard, and CF in my high school years. Still play sports and run and am in phenomenal shape. Seek me out at the Mississippi Valley State game if you have something to say, I'll be the guy who actually looks like an athlete.
