Just read it. It's a reasonable piece. He concludes by saying that a Big 12 invite would be good for fans of both programs, but if you're someone set on Ohio State dominance in the state, you might want to root against it.

The typical tO$U fan is pretty insecure, despite their clear dominance in the state. If/when we get back in a big conference it's a minor threat to them at best, but they freak out over any suggestion that they're not the center of the universe.

Yes, I've often had the same thought (wish): the highest profile game in Ohio on some given Saturday may be in Cincinnati. More importantly, Big 12 football is enjoyable to watch.

OSU fans should thank their lucky stars if we get an invite. Brown himself said it pretty well - UC could well cut into the recruiting spoils of almost all B-10 schools, not named Ohio State, and probably Michigan. It would be too much to ask UC to out-recruit those two.

As a result, the Bucks would roll through the Big Ten every year, right up until the Michigan game. And, if UC's presence hurts UM even a smidgen more than it hurts OSU, it would be advantage OSU. Michigan will be damn good with Harbaugh, but while Meyer is still in Columbus, any advantage OSU gains will equate to wins in that series.

Ohio is a funny state. The Ohio pride crowd claims to root for anything Ohio, unless it's UC. Apparently, we did not receive the memo the MAC schools received - you must root for An osu to your detriment first and foremost. UC bUCks the trend and gets ostracized for it.

What about Toledo, isn't that a Michigan stronghold for football recruiting, not so much basketball for TO$U?

Toledo should be a part of Michigan. Ohio stole it after the great Michigan-Ohio War (also known as the Toledo War) of 1835-36.

Michigan received the Upper Peninsula in compensation for ceding their claims on Toledo to Ohio. Michigan got the better of the deal.

Speaking of which, I drove by Michigan Stadium Tuesday. There appears to be about 100 parking spaces anywhere near that stadium.
