I said Notre Dame has never played a football game on a conference tv network. Not 1 game. Does anyone remember ND playing a football game on BTN, SECN, PAC-N or the MTN?
Cheers!

Is ND a member of any of those conferences? Are they getting any $ from any of those networks? Do they have a vested interest in or if any of those networks are successful or not? Would ESPN benefit if they put ND on the ACCN?

Uh yeah....Of course ESPN would benifit from putting Notre Dame on the ACC N. Why the heck would Notre Dame want to play football games on the ACC N? It's not like Notre Dame or you guys own the network like the PAC 12 (100%) or Big 10 (49%) ESPN will own "your" ACC network 100%.
Cheers!

But they will receive a full share of whatever guarantee the ACCN gets along with a full share if the profits over that guarantee. So if the ACCN averages a payout if 6 million then ND is looking at 120 million over the life of this contract. That's more than enough incentive to place 1 game per year on that platform

Exactly. The more subscribers the ACCN gets the more $ ND & ESPN would make. Now you won't see ND @ Clemson, for example, on the ACCN but you will likely see ND @ WF or BC. You are likely to see several ND basketball games & their Olympic sports as well.

Maybe even start with a bang!

In the interim, ESPN figures to use Notre Dame to its advantage. Under the school's current agreement, the Irish play five ACC opponents a year. NBC gets the home games, but don't be surprised if ESPN starts shifting the road games to the ACC Network — starting perhaps Sept. 2, 2019, when the Irish visit Louisville.
