If you do put Cacok at a 5, that's a serious problem for the opposing team because he's gonna run baseline to baseline faster than any big. This team is an offensive juggernaut against ANYBODY period. Good times.

With that written, Elmore was selected to be a 5 man eventually. Heck, he's 6'10" and strong plus athletic. He may not start out there, but will eventually be there. This team isn't your typical 1 through 5 man, you can't think that way because the opposition will have to adjust also. When/if this team is in the NCAA's/post season (barring injuries), that's when problems can occur. There are options available and the coach will have to sort it through. We shall see. I tend to think that Coach Keatts has to feel pretty good going into this situation and this team can play/beat anybody on a given night.

FYI, Elmore is 6'8" and weighs 225lbs.

This article has him at 6'9" and 240 lbs. He's still a pretty good sized player.

Bill I spoke to his dad at a tournament in February. He told me he lost weight in order to fit in a higher paced UNCW offense, and was down to 225 lbs. And, he's 6'8". We all know how the official size listings exaggerate height.....lol.

Okay, thanks '82. Yea, everybody is listed a bit higher. You've got me excited to see him play! The kid from Raleigh is very talented...I know that for a fact.

Have you had a chance to see him play? 6'3" maybe 6'4", good ball handling skills and penetration. Plus, I've been told he plays with some swagger. May be a sleeper.

I haven't in person, but I've got friends up here that have seen him and they told me that he's very good. Like anything, they've got to actually go out there and do it, but the kid scored 50 points on an Austrailian National team last year. He's got body control, good athlete and can stroke it.

Remember how, I think it was in Buzz Peterson's second year, everyone on the UNCW roster miraculously "grew" a few inches? Unless they were being measured wearing 8 pairs of gym socks and platform sneakers, it was just a straight-up lie...and a stupid one at that.

Buzz wasn't that great but at least he did a good job of getting the APR in much better shape. Keatts took the ball from there and the rest is history.

True. But it's also true that he "inflated" players' heights...which served no discernible purpose. It fooled no one...except maybe Buzz....

RE: C.J. Gettys
Elmore is not a big or long 6-8 but is a decent athlete and a hard worker. I think he can get some minutes but I would let him find his way as a player and not expect him to put up big numbers right away. If Keatts does not play him some I think he is making a mistake.
