RE: ACC Network Talk
I'm curious to find out what kind of role, if any, Raycom Sports is going to have once the linear channel goes live in 2019. Will there be any games at all offered in syndication through Raycom Sports? Will there be any of the RSN games that are currently sub-leased to Fox through Raycom Sports? Will Raycom Sports sill maintain the conference web site that I find less than impressive? Will they still offer the ACC Digital Network app that has highlights? Will they produce any type of pre-game show for the ACC? What will Tommy Bowden do?!?!

At a minimum, I wouldn't mind seeing one of the least desirable conference games remain in syndication each week, but that is mainly because I'll be sad to see that type of business model go away for good if it happens. I have a lot of memories of watching Raycom / Jefferson Pilot games throughout the years and seeing all those Food Lion commercials, even though we never had a Food Lion store anywhere near us.

I don't personally care if the RSN games go away for good. Those hold no sentimental value to me.

It will be interesting if Wegman's makes a play as a sponsor of the ACC?

RE: ACC Network Talk
The ACC could've had a network years ago, but it was more important to keep Raycom afloat

Raycom will lose the syndication package, but I think you'll still see Raycom involved with the Digital portion. They run it now (very well I might add) and there was no announcement that wouldn't continue even with the Digital portion starting in August.

Also the newest CEO of Raycom recently said he expected a long partnership with the ACC. They will still be involved in my opinion.

It was mentioned in the announcement that the ACC digital network would continue in addition to the new ACC Network Extra.so ESPN runs ACCX while Raycom runs ACCDN.
