How the 69 Cubs are not on the list is beyond me.

Northern Iowa would be ranked in the T5 had it not happened just months ago.

Critically underranked.

So many Boston related ones...Bristol, CT influence

I guess they either don't remember 2008 or love Cal so much that they selectively left him out

That game will haunt those players till they're six feet under.

Thomas Neumann must have born just before the last full moon. 18 of his 25 biggest flameouts in "history" occurred in the last 25 years.
But agreed, that's a good list for us NOT to be on.

Thank goodness. Still hurts just knowing how close we were. It was fun anyway.

RE: Hall of Flameout - 25 Worst Collapses in Sports History
Number 1 should be golden state warriors and stephen curry.

Best record ever in a nba season at 73-9. They worked so hard including two wins in the last 3 regular season games vs the injury riddled grizz where they had all their starters playing... even in the 4th quarter.

2nd straight year stephen curry is nba MVP. This year, curry became the first nba player to be MVP by an unanimous vote. In the playoffs, he scored 5 less points per game and his shooting % went dropped but the turnovers went up.

Golden state had 3-1 lead in nba finals and for the first time in nba finals history, they choked away the 3-1 lead and the nba championship while another nba team made history at their expense. Golden state finishes with a postseason record of 15-9.

That is a major collapse if i've ever seen one. Interesting that "espn experts" don't see it that way.

That's not even in the top 100

Van DeVelde should be number 1

RE: Hall of Flameout - 25 Worst Collapses in Sports History
Our fine athletes over at Memphis Harding Academy trailed Franklin Road Academy by 31 mid 3rd quarter in the Tennessee state basketball championship game. Harding won by 3. Considering high school quarters are only 8 minutes, our fine brethren in suburban Nashville will have to live with that one the rest of their lives.
