This is the same tournament that JMU played in this past season.

BTW Towson is bleeding players.
Zane Martin and Justin Gorham both are transferring as rising Juniors and two rising Sophomores Travis Ingram and Jeff Prophete are transferring as well.

Apparently Pat Skerry is a coach that the players don't like playing for yet in some circles folks think he's a good coach because he's a chubby white guy who exerts a lot of effort on the sideline- what a joke.

RE: Future MBB Schedule
Ingram and Prophete didn't play that much, but Gorham and especially Martin are huge losses. Gorham was their third leading scorer (9.8 ppg) and top rebounder (6.7 rpg). Martin was their leading scorer at almost 20 points per game, leading assist man at 2.7, and averaged almost a steal per game. He took a huge leap from freshman to sophomore, so maybe he is looking to move "up" in the world of NCAA Basketball?

Also; for those who aren't keeping track of post two on page one of this thread; Charleston, Towson, and W&M have all announced their non-con schedules.

Agreed- Charleston has a pretty solid schedule as well in terms of games/potential games vs. power teams/programs

Home vs. Rhode Island
at Ok State
at VCU

They also play in the Advocare tournament in Orlando- stacked field- Nova, Florida State, LSU, Memphis, Ok State, UAB and one other team.

It's easy to forget how solid Northeastern was last year- they basically bring everyone back and they lost in the CAAT finals in OT vs. Charleston. Will be interesting to see their OOC as well.

Hope you win 'em all. Good luck. The entire conference needs to do better against non-CAA competition (especially JMU).

In post 2 I had them hosting Campbell and at Mercer and also in the Asheville Tourny. Am I incorrect?

UNCW
at UNC (first game of a 2 for 1)
CAMPBELL
STANFORD (return game at Stanford in 2019/20)
EAST CAROLINA
DAVIDSON
at Mercer
at Furman
UNCG
Battle in the Blue Ridge in Asheville, NC. The other 3 teams are TBD.

Unrelated:

Would you not think something called "Battle in the Blue Ridge" should have four teams with campuses in or near the Blue Ridge Mountains? Eastern Illinois, Arkansas State, UNC-Wilmington, and Gardner Webb make up the four teams with GWU being the only school in or near the Blue Ridge. How do you ever get any fans to show up with that combination of schools.

This schedule is correct. And, we were wondering about the tournament as well....

RE: Future MBB Schedule
it looks like the tournament is sponsored by the State of North Carolina tourism. With it being held on Thanksgiving weekend I assume they are trying to pull some people into the Asheville area. The Christmas holiday exhibits at the Biltmore Estate are top notch and they sell out most prime slots at that time of the year.

It is worth the trip for fans that haven't been there. A little bit of basketball, a little bit of culture, and a LOT of craft breweries.

RE: Future MBB Schedule
Well it is the Battle in the Blue Ridge not the Battle of the Blue Ridge so I don't think it is too much of a misnomer. When they have the tournaments in the Bahamas and Puerto Rico they don't only have Caribbean teams playing in them.

Is that the same? Well, maybe, but the Blue Ridge has plenty of schools who could support a tournament. I doubt the Caribbean has many if any. That's where I see the difference.
