STRICTLY A GUESS ... But if others heard in the spring he was looking to go, the guess is he had to clean up his academic calendar before UB gave him his release. Considering the losses UB has had in recent years the APR numbers might have been getting close meaning he had to be in good standing to get his release ... meaning summer school.

Again ... just a guess on why so late. ... But it also probably means somebody was holding a scholarship for him. Meaning tampering.

I'm almost certain there was some tampering involved but you can't prove anything.

Here is the thing. Bearden was was failed THC test away from a year suspension per university policy. If he goes somewhere else then that clock gets reset.

So we can suspend young athletes a yr for a plant substance that is common everywhere legal in many places including the nation's capital and non lethal, but have no problem prescribing them meds that routinely lead to addiction, overdose and death when they get hurt and we want them back playing asap?

And in some (many?) states, two gays can marry/be married but if they have sex they can be charged with the crime of sodomy. 01-lauramac2

Some of our laws and regulations need to be updated, I'd say (understatement).
