It became our primary athletic logo at one time, so lots of companies from out of state with no connection to what Southern fans really liked/wanted made stuff with this logo. I've met maybe two fans who like this crappy logo. Stuff would just sit on the shelf. This added to thinking that our stuff doesn't sell by stores. We just hated the logo. That and stores would often have like two items for our program. So if it was something cool, once you bought it.. you had it and didn't need another OR it was something very specific that as an item doesn't get bought a lot. Like baby socks or something.

Our stuff will sell good in state with the right logo(s) and a good selection of items. Glad that this is getting better.

Whats with mascots and not wearing pants?

The bottom one is the best imop. At least it looks mean. Sure, he looks like a villain but that sort of fits a down town ATL program doesn't it?

No, but that other mascot is from EAST GA COLLEGE over in Swainsboro. About 40 miles north west of Statesboro. They have a small campus in Statesboro to. EGC used to be Emanuel County Jr. College. I went there before going to Southern.

I don't know why there are GAST people/band members in the pic either or what event might have all three in attendance.

Seriously Ga State should do some kind of promotion with the new Ghost Busters coming out.

As I just mentioned the SWT bobcat logo was a bobcat wearing a sailor cap. This was almost ubiquitous for many years but for whatever reason, pretty much no one uses it anymore.

Doesn't Rameses of UNC still sport the sailor cap, in their cartoon drawing &Sebastian the Ibis from the U, as well as the NC State Wolf too
