Hare vs. the All-Timers
If Drew Hare comes back healthy this fall he has a chance to finish in the top three for career passing yards and TDs at NIU.
He currently has 4,437 career passing yards which puts him seventh behind:
8,944 Chandler Harnish
6,782 George Bork
6,551 Chris Finlen
6,209 Jordan Lynch
6,015 Josh Haldi
4,887 Phil Horvath
Hare currently has 34 career TD passes which puts him tenth behind:
68 Chandler Harnish
60 George Bork
55 Josh Haldi
51 Jordan Lynch
42 Chris Finlen
38 Bob Heimerdinger
36 Ron Christian
35 Phil Horvath
35 Lew Flinn
Hare also has 968 rushing yards and 9 rushing TDs although I don't think anyone expects him to run a lot this fall.

RE: Hare vs. the All-Timers
Hare isn't the best QB the Huskies have ever had, but when he is good he's really good. I hope he will be ready to go this season, or at least for MAC play.

RE: Hare vs. the All-Timers
It's hard to believe that with only 10 more TDs he'll be in 5th place all-time (9 actually).

RE: Hare vs. the All-Timers
There was a time when NIU ran most of the time. With the way offenses run a biggilion plays now, lots of offensive pass records will be broken. New era of Football.

He's sneaky good. Hope he's ready to go this year. It's really easy to underrate a guy after he follows two studs and All-time Huskies.

RE: Hare vs. the All-Timers
i think healthy last season he would have developed into a phenomenal QB. Harnish good? no. But for all he's been through, its impressive that he is able (assuming he stays healthy) to eclipse Horvath, and on par with Finlen.

Harnish, Lynch and Bork in the top group. Hare falls in the next set of QBs. Tim Tyrell on the list but in 1983 he was a stud. He was the original Jordan Lynch.

Let's face it we had years of sub par quarterbacking going probably since Stacey Robinson left. It wasn't till Harnish arrived did we have a reasonable signal caller in place. Not saying a whole lot by moving up on this list.

Three Huskie QB's have won MAC championship games, Hare is one of them. He could be the first one to do it twice.

Drew Hare, the Terry Bradshaw of MACC's.

I think Chris Finlen and Josh Haldi might have something to say about that. I'm not saying they were great, but they were at the very least "reasonable" signal callers.

Haldi was an excellent QB.
