WMU receives a verbal from TJ Clifford out of suburban Chicago. Attended Downers Grove South HS and plays for the Illinois Wolves AAU program.

6'6" physical forward with some range and handles. Steve Bell, out of Michigan who runs has his own AAU program got to see TJ up close and personal in Chicago this weekend. Likened him to Mike Bramos formerly of Miami of Ohio.

The Wolves played Bell's team and they were down at half. But apparently came out roaring and Bell had this tweet about this unknown commodity ...

Steve Bell ‏@BankHoops Jul 10
...But they (Bells team) haven't scored since, Wolves up 8 (now). They have a badass white boy dunker.

Apparently after a formal introduction to find out who this individual was Bell tweeted ... Steve Bell ‏@BankHoops Jul 10
Wolves' 17U Mike Bramos clone is TJ Clifford, has WMU offer.

Congrats to Larry Farmer the winningest college player of all time for identifying and courting Clifford. Hawkins flew in from Peach Jam to close the deal.

Rumor has it Clifford's nickname will change both colors and tone. Will be known henceforth as Clifford the big Red Dog. More politically correct these days. http://pbskids.org/clifford/index-brd-flash.html

I'm glad you WMU are enthused. Congrats by the way. Meanwhile we're adding 3 two Div I experience sit outs for 2017-2018 and one top 25 in state wing.
