RE: Still feels good
I was speaking at length last night about that day to my buddy who lives in Louisiana.

We all know just how low of a period this program was before Fuente. 2009-11 might be the single worst stretch in our history. Before 2009, I thought I had a good feeling of what the floor was for this program. Then I found out that the basement had another level. I think the absolute worst time was losing 47.3 at Arkansas State in 2011. There are plenty of candidates, but that game more than any other put me in a really bad place.

I would kill to know what exactly was going through Hugh Freeze's mind on the sideline late in last year's game when it became apparent that Memphis was going to win. I wonder if he thought about that day in 2011 at all and if he was wondering just how in the hell did Ole Miss's DREAM 2015 season just get derailed by Memphis.

RE: Still feels good
By my best estimation, I was one of the last ~100 or so people in the stands when I finally exited the tunnel and left for the concourse.

I wanted to soak in every last bit of it.

I had no intention of rushing the field. I just wanted to watch everybody else do that.

I never will fully understand the group that says we shouldn't play olemiss. Some of my favorite memories as a Tigers fan are those games.

I flew into town specifically for that game. It did not disappoint. Seeing Tiger Lane did not disappoint. Seeing all the red leave our stadium did not disappoint.

What a day. To be alive.

I doubt it was that day in 2011. People with his type of ego don't dwell on things that happened at "lesser schools" that far in the past.

I kinda' hope it was set up more by the previous year's game at oxfart, when that jackazz had his starting qb throw into the endzone and score a TD with about a minute or so to play while leading. Their D had pretty much choked our offense all night, so I find it hard to believe he was worried about a very late miracle comeback. He just wanted to rub our noses in the fact that he was somebody now coaching at an SEC school.

I like to think the Tigers had a chip on their shoulder after that. The putz got what he deserved last year.

Feels EXTREMELY good!

Near the end of the game I had a friend who was celebrating and this Ole Miss 'princess' looked at him and asked him who we have beaten? He just pointed to the scoreboard. Go to hell Ole Miss!

47-3 was one of the worst sports experiences of my life. That was excruciatingly bad.

RE: Still feels good
It was a great weekend and a great memory.

Bad part is that Ole Miss is unlikely to have forgotten it and will be looking to repay the favor next year in Oxford. We'll find out what Norvell is made of. I'm not asking for a W, but want to avoid the woodshed.
