I don't know that he would want that job. I just want a conference commissioner who randomly picks some Olympic sport team from one of his member schools and tells them to go phuck themselves for no apparent reason. That would be fun.

He's got to prove himself here in Syracuse before he gets on any list. The guy is obviously talented. I just want to see what he can do around here before we make him a commissioner.

If he is successful. that means our fb program has become top tier again. In that case I want him to stick around at SU forever.

I heard he wasn't the only guy at ESPN interested in the job. SU I heard is going out and will grab the best they can. Apparently they are opening up the piggy bank.

Gene Corrigan was the Notre Dame athletics director before becoming the ACC Commissioner. (Full disclosure: Corrigan was also Athletics Director at UVa before Notre Dame and was a Duke grad).

I don't believe there was ever any thought given to the loyalties of ACC Commissioners until John Swofford got the job. Then, the ABC mentality that has prevailed in the league from its earliest days reared its ugly head. Swofford could find a cure for cancer and his detractors would find a way to make it seem like it was an act of disloyalty to the ACC.

BTW, I was joking about Swarbrick....but ya never know....

The bench for ACC Commish is pretty thin. If I had to tap somebody right now it would be Jurich at Louisville.
