It looks like a win-win for all (Rooney will make the same amount if not more at Alabama), and UCF doesn't have to buy out his contract so a new HC can come in with a fresh start. (albeit a somewhat depleted roster...lost top 3-4 recruits again to MLB Draft signings, etc...).

UCF Baseball Boosters are pleased with this move and it could turn out to be a good choice for all (including Rooney...who was a top assistant previously at LSU and ND).

Don't forget the tennis staff we've hired, including hiring Oklahoma's head coach.

You are right...that was a huge hire...as bringing in Coach John Roddick (yes, Andy's brother) to lead UCF Tennis are their Director and the soon to be opening of the new $70 Million USTA & UCF Tennis Center at Lake Nona...that will be the new "mecca" of tennis in the USA.

New complex is finally taking shape:




Roddick lead Oklahoma to back-to-back-to-back National Championship Runner's Up (something UCF Tennis can only dream of) as UCF forked out the dough (and new facility) to get him.

Hey...I wish UCF Baseball had a $15 Million facility...let alone a $70 Million one!

Check that...I wish UCF Baseball had a $5 Million facility...as that would be a major improvement to what they have today.
