I was recently selected to serve on the board of the Varsity T club. This post is an appeal to all former University of Toledo letter winners to consider joining (or renewing your membership). The new president, Brent Reed, has made a commitment to try to bring more of a focus on letter winners from sports other than football. Other new board members include athletes from the softball, soccer and basketball teams and the board includes such luminaries as Jeff Hepinstall, Jay Gast and Rachel Macleod.

Varsity T members currently get discounted season tickets and access to the Varsity T pavilion for pre-game food and fellowship, and the Board is looking at other benefits. At the same time, your membership helps the athletic programs at UT. As I become more familiar with the board and more aware of new benefits and activities of Varsity T I will post here. In the meantime,,if you have questions feel free to PM me. Each eligible letter winner should be receiving a letter this week from Brent describing in greater detail what your membership means.
