Marshall Football Will Live Under the Lights in 2016
Herd fans rejoice, when Marshall plays at home this season you have all afternoon to tailgate before kickoff.

Also crazy WKU has 4 night games this season, reminds me of our games back before TV told us when to play...11am games were not very well attended last season to say the least...

To be seen. If we average higher attendance to offset the loss of TV revenue, many, including myself, will happily eat crow. As for now it still doesn't sit well loosing nearly a million per year in revenue from TV. I don't see some games getting much higher attendance no matter the time slot, mostly the fair weather fans not super excited with some opponents.

Depends on the topic. We like night games, we don't like getting paid less than $20,000 per game to have them televised.

And as the season wears on and the weather gets colder, the night games IMHO are much less appealing.

Yeah, night football rocks. Rice has two night games scheduled right now. Two game times are still to be determined.

My entire life the football games have always been at night with 6-8pm kick offs. It probably stretches back even further than before I started following UTEP back in 1999. I love night games would not trade them for anything.

I think since most of us remember high school and the Friday night lights, going to a night game just clicks something in your brain.

We haven't had a lot of those in our short history so I'm looking for to 4 of our 5 times we know being night games. Actually I can only remember maybe 1 or 2 that I made it to?

RE: Marshall Football Will Live Under the Lights in 2016
Huntington and The Joan will be rockin' for that 8:00 kick off with Louisville. They will bring 3-4,000 and I wouldn't be surprised if we break our attendance record for that one. Louisville is currently listed as 6:1 to win the ACC. The home crowd will be jacked up.

If any CUSA fans are near Huntington and have nothing to do that Saturday after your team finishes up, you should come to town. Look for the "Thunderbus", our awesome tailgate vehicle, on the west lot in front of the stadium and I guarantee you a great time. We'll have a TV set up to watch the other games while we tailgate. As far as tickets go, I can't help there, but if you want to get one there will be scalpers working. The cheapest tickets on Stubhub right now are $76.

Agreed, should bring a lot of local fans of both teams. Hope we do set a record for it, shut WVU up about them being our highest attended game.

Reminds me of when I was a student in the late 90s/early 2000s. All games were at night and we started tailgating at 10am and were usually up by 4TDs by halftime.

FAU full schedule came out yesterday and out of 6 homes games 4 are at 6pm and two at 3:30.
It doesn't get much better than that for the state of Florida.
I do wonder if that mean we don't expect the other games to be picked up by TV.

They are a season too late. I was interested in seeing WKU last season however I feel they won't be near as exciting without Brandon. Hard to replace that type of quarterback,
