FCS allows football only conferences and could probably organize better if all of them were separate from the olympic conference.

Now if FBS could do the same it would solve a lot of problems.
Instead of trying to sell all these networks three or four football conferences would solve that.
That is without making conferences so big their not conferences anymore.
P4 and G4 would be possible with one extra game deciding the playoff spots.
The G4 could have a mini- playoff for the Access Bowl.
Instead of a CCG have the top teams in each conference play .
with eighteen team conferences it would work like this.
Play the eight in your division your tenth conference game would be flexible after a bye week.
That would be your conference championship game also 2-2,3-3 and so on for your twelfth game.
Then the champ plays another champ for game thirteen one more and your in the Access Bowl.
A rule could exist if ranked higher the G5 gets into the playoff.
The extra game would help that even if it still won't happen.
