probably August 5th I would guess?

With us not playing this year not sure if we'll start that early this year. IIRC, they're going to have practices each week during the fb season w/ a couple of gameday scrimmages during the year. It gets back to being real for us in spring - FRW

The first of the 3 public "game day" scrimmages is supposed to be August 27th. I would imagine practices would begin 3 weeks or so before that.

What are the chances coach Clark reaches out to some Baylor coaches and invites them to participate in the fall if they don't have jobs. Just a thought. We were studying them at one time anyway.

Think about that question for a minute. While I'm sure there are many on the staff that were good and decent guys the toxic slime that they've all been painted with will follow them for years.

Think about it - there's some at Baylor that wanted Briles & Co back slime & all as it seems it's all about winning. I hope we don't start to think like that but I'm all for 2nd chances for people

Have we set a time and location for first scrimmage? Figuring it'll probably be at legion.

Are they still going to do the scrimmages at 3 different locations (if my mind remembers correctly) I recall them saying that

Yes they originally said they would have it at 3 different locations, but never said the locations.

Coach did mention that one was going to be on campus, one at Legion Field and the third at an over the mountain site that he wasn't able to disclose yet (the Hoover Met or one of the OTM high schools with artificial turf fields?)

Baylor didn't terminate any coaches except for former head coach Art Briles.

Don't position / assistant coaches generally have annual contracts (rather than the multiyear contracts for head coaches) so they may just not be renewed without the fanfare that head coach firings get? Like "old soldiers", they may "just fade away" as their contracts end. Besides, new FBHCs will likely want to bring in their own staff.

I'm sure Baylor will clean house after this upcoming season, but for this season the staff remains intact under the acting head coach.
