I'm excited about the upcoming season in Bearcat FB.

Even though my alma mater won a NY6 bowl over Florida State, my personal opinion is that Cincinnati has paved the way.

Landing big names like Tommy Tuberville and Gunner Kiel has ushered in an era of excellence in Cincinnati that - frankly - you deserve.

I think Tuberville sees UC as his final opus that will cap a Hall of Fame career. I don't think he'll leave like Dantonio or Kelly.

He seems committed to being that stalwart coach UC has always wanted.

That's a compliment to your program, considering the other places he's coached. IMO, he will be enshrined as a Bearcat.

Apparently you subscribe to the "Everybody gets a trophy" school of thought.

(And I'm not saying this just because I don't like Tuberville, but honestly...what accomplishments besides just coaching for a bunch of years...does Tuberville have that make him "Hall of Fame" worthy? He has a total coaching record of 151-91 which is decent. He has no National Championships, though Auburn went 13-0 and finished #2 in 2004. Oh, and KNOWING Tuberville, IF he goes into the College Football Hall of Fame, he'll go in wearing AUBURN colors, not UC. He has much more affection for AU than he does for UC. Hell, he seems to have more affection for TT than he does for UC on any given day. So, the order probably looks like this: Auburn, Texas Tech, Mississippi (his first job), then UC in terms what uniforms he would pick for his bust. But again, I don't see a HoF right now.)

So, my post got me thinking... And I looked up some stuff and came up with this:

Among active FBS coaches, Tuberville comes in at #52 (That's just above the middle of the pack) with a lifetime average of .633 and an average of .658 with UC. Now the table is a little skewed because some coaches (like Tom Herman) only have one year...and it was a great year...to assemble an average off of. But my point is that Tuberville is not in any of the metrics, a "Top Ten" type of coach.

And his sagging average at UC is slightly above his all-time average and probably will sag down a bit as time goes on.

The better question would be why this lame psycho troll is allowed to post on this board.
