CFN Preview 2016: Ranking The College Football Conferences
Ranking The Conferences: How do the leagues measure up coming into the season? Which ones are the strongest, and which ones aren’t quite there?

In before the Sun Belt posters come over here telling everyone how they are better league because our TV contract dropped.

This list seems about right, it would nice to have 2 teams finish in the Top 25 this year.

That would be nice, but it's not an easy task when less than half the conference has a pulse. There just aren't enough quality wins to go around. I'll be happy if we make it three straight years with a ranked champion.

CFN's Pre season Conference Rankings are about right. Would love to see CUSA put somebody in the Access Bowl on New Year's Day: but it will be hard to overcome both MWC and AAC in 2016. Whatever, we are ALL UNDEFEATED for the moment.

His CUSA preview was good, WKU and Tech big question marks. WKU team on the decline, 7 starters gone on defense and Doughty and Higbee on O.

You guys lost just as much as us if not more, We had a lot of guys rotate in and out on defense last season, 7 starters gone does not tell the whole picture...Higbee was hurt half the season last year....Obviously will give you Doughty being gone as the really big question...I think we will be fine on defense with 2 transfers from UofL ready to contribute big time as well as 2 experienced safeties who can hold down the secondary....Also if newcomer QB MIke WHite can throw at all, he will have the time with our OL and playmakers to get the job done as long as he can get them ball....With Year 3 under Brohm, I expect our offensive plays to still be solid as well as DC back for year 3....Do I expect White to throw for over 5k yards, no but if he can just keep the defense honest just a little with his arm we have 3 horses who can run all day with an OL who can block all day...

RE: CFN Preview 2016: Ranking The College Football Conferences
I think Westerns lines (O & D) will be better than last year and that is where a good team starts.

QB is the question mark on offense and nothing else. I have a different opinion on the QB spot than some Western fans. I think we need more than just a serviceable QB. You can win with that if the defense is really good and you have a good running game. I think the Western running game will be that good. I also think the defense will be good. Question will be if it's good enough to overcome just a serviceable QB.

At some point in key games the QB is going to need to make key plays. So more than just serviceable. Another key concern of mine is finding a QB that doesn't give games away. After watch the spring practice that's a major concern for me. I think Western has 3 QBs that can make plays but also make really bad decisions. The QB that shows he can cut those out will be the starter for Western.

I really think the Western defense is going to be damn good...if not that will be a major disappointment for me. With Western's schedule I can see us finishing anywhere from 5th to 1st overall in the conference and 3rd to 1st in the east.

I would not be shocked to finish first again, I wouldn't bet on it but not shocked...I would be if Western gets anything other than 7-5 season and 8-5 after the bowl. Or better

I do to. McCollum is probably going put up better numbers than last year which were really good.
