What exactly is it about the AK-47? Handguns and AK-47s have the exact same firing capabilities (semi-auto). If it's magazine capacity, I have a factory Glock magazine that is bigger (33 rounds) than the standard factory AK-47 magazine (30 rounds).

If it's about people illegally altering AK-47s to become fully auto, see below:

Even though your odds of being killed by a gun in the US are infinitesimal (about 25,000:1), in the event that you are exceptionally unlucky, you are 20:1 more likely to be killed by a handgun than a rifle. You're actually 3:1 more likely to be killed by someone's fist and 2:1 more likely to be killed by a hammer than you are a rifle.

Just some perspective so that hopefully you can put your irrational fears to rest. 04-cheers

But, but, but the AK-47 is so much scarier for poor wittle UofM.

LOL, he bolted the thread yet again. How much do you want to bet that he'll go right back to regurgitating the same BS in the next gun thread?

It's a given. He's incapable of anything but regurgitating leftist talking points.

NONE of those countries pretend to be the world's policeman though. If you're in the military there it's a safe bet the most you'll end up doing is defending your own territory.

Every country he listed, including the Swiss, have been or are still involved involved in foreign conflicts in recent years. Some have been under the auspices of the UN, some NATO, and some other coalitions but all have sent troops to foreign territory to act as "world police".

Hmmm. I have unit patches exchanged with folks from 3 of those countries that I obtained in a free Uncle Sam vacation in the early 1990's
