Jacob Evans with a Kyle Washington kicker
From recent tweets by Michael Rehfeldt - Director of Strength & Conditioning for Cincinnati Bearcats overseeing Mens Basketball

Michael Rehfeldt ‏@MRStrengthUC Jun 29
Unreal body transformation by @JacobEvans_1 in only one year.

Michael Rehfeldt ‏@MRStrengthUC
Shout-out to @JacobEvans_1 and @k.sosa7 ??? touching over 12'

BTW, @k.sosa7 is Kyle Washington:

bonus tidbit: Rehfeldt recently wed WLWT 5's Elise Jessie which probably can't hurt their UC coverage...

To add, Rehfeldt is a great follow on twitter and instagram if that's your thing. A lot great behind the scenes pictures and videos of player strength training and recovery.

Depth is an obvious worry for this Bearcat team. So is scoring at SG unless Cumberland is able to really contribute as a freshman. That said, I really am excited about 4 of the 5 spots in the starting lineup. Think Troy, Evans and Clark will all be all league type players with a shot at being All American type players. I think Washington will be a perfect fit.

If Evans doesn't lead the team in scoring next year something is wrong.

I am hoping he and a much more aggressive senior Troy are neck and neck with boosted numbers.

I sure wish Cumberland was a junior this year. His spot is the weakest and while I think he'll end up being a good one, he's still only a freshman.

The other thing this team needs is consistency. Caupain, Evans and Clark are all good capable players but way too inconsistent.

12 feet is pretty ridiculous for a guy at his weight.

I am hoping Cumberland takes the Evans path this season. Being just a role player and showing flashes for the first 3 months while breaking in is completely understandable. I want to see if Cumberland can take his game to a high level by March like Evans just did last year.

Rehfedlt just posted a picture of Cumberland on someones comment and in only 1 month his transformation is already very noticeable

RE: Jacob Evans with a Kyle Washington kicker
Without a doubt our best front end talent we've had under Mick. I'm a little disappointed though we didn't add another player to the rotation, depth will be an issue since we have only 4 guys to play the 1-3 positions with Troy, KJ, Cumberland, and Evans. If JJ can't be counted on for 10 minutes a game we could lose some games we shouldn't due to injuries or foul trouble.

They get the money from the Shabazz Napier Benevolence Fund.

I could see easily how a high schooler gets the money: they don't have any overhead. They don't pay rent or a mortgage, many don't have a car payment, pay insurance, other utilities in the household-- heck they are not even buying the groceries. Working a job for even just a month affords them enough money to buy a couple tats. Of course, they don't put anything into savings or an investment but that is another topic for a different thread.

This is very true... I started working in6th grade as a paper boy and worked some sort of job from then until college. It's the best period of saving I've ever had. Hopefully that will change as my practice continues to grow.

I hung drywall and did home carpentry when I was in high school for my unc;e's company, great way to get some real life experience and make a good bit of cash as well. I just know how much that kid of ink costs, and with basketball being a year round sport...it's not easy haha
