So I decide to go out and find out more about Phil Steele - and don't find much about his background to be an expert prognosticator. But, on his website - I see a link to this article/headline:
Two years after ‘parting ways’ with Baylor, WR Robbie Rhodes dismissed by Bowling Green. In June of 2014, reports surfaced that Rhodes had, ahem, “parted ways” with Baylor “for undisclosed reasons.” That move came a month after Rhodes was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and tampering with physical evidence, even as charges were never filed against him. Two months after “parting ways” with BU, Bowling Green announced that the wide receiver had transferred into its football program.
Nearly two years later? He gone. Again.
According to the Toledo Blade, Rhodes has been dismissed from the Falcons football team. The only stated reason was an unspecified violation of team rules.
Rhodes, a four-star 2013 recruit rated as the No. 8 receiver in the country that year,
I didn't see this story before on here, but says it was reported in the Blade. Maybe I just missed a prior thread related to it.
BG picked up a player from Baylor that had prior problems at what has to be considered the worst place in the country with regard to discipline and looking the other way. They correct the mistake, but doesn't say a whole lot for Dino Babers taking that chance. Maybe there is more to it and it is not related to any of the other incidents at Baylor that has grabbed the headlines. Timing of his dismissal at BG is about the time all the news about Baylor's program was getting a lot of air time.
