Has anyone gone to any of the summer league games? Formerly Deveroes?

I can't find any info online about who's playing etc.

Not sure, but I'm pretty sure UC players do not participate in that anymore.

RE: Summer League
It's a nice gym, minimal seating. Mr. Bettis Sr. passed away this past Spring. I will miss him terribly. He was a good soul. I was proud to call him a friend.

He was a father to a lot of the kids who started in the league.

The experience is a bit empty this year without him around.

God's speed Mr. Bettis.

You are in a better place.

Why do you think it's beneficial for our players not to participate in Summer League? Risk of injury?

I always thought it was a great way to introduce the new kids to the public and get them some PT.

RE: Summer League
I think that is a trend with many summer league participants nationwide.

I am pretty sure that Xavier players do not participate either.

RE: Summer League
When the NCAA changed the rules to allow players to be coached in the summer everyone quit playing because structured skill development is much better than essentially pick up games.

RE: Summer League
Coaches try to create discipline in the summer practices and that all goes out the window with the summer league street ball.

Not a good mix.
