Taking a South Panola kid from Ole Miss is huge. I bet Darrell Henderson's experience with our program was another selling point.

To be fair all of those schools did not offer but were looking at him... but it's always good to steal one from South Panola. Yes, I'm sure D. Henderson probably helped us!!

Did not say they had all offered but they were all actively in contact with him with the possibility of offering as they continued to evaluate him. He was certainly being considered for an offer by all the those programs.

I am VERY happy he has decided to be a Tiger. He is legit.

Recruiting question. When are players assigned their stars by the services, can they still change, and when typically would those changes occur? I assume the rankings could still go up (or down)

Best answer, periodically. They do concentrate on updating the elite prospects bc the fans of schools recruiting those prospects generate the most traffic. Each of the 4 most used ranking services updates in July sometime after camps and such. After the HS seasons. Yadda yadda yadda

Yes. Changes occur frequently. Rarely down. The most common change is to bump unrated players to a 2* once a commitment occurs. We've seen that with several players already this year.

You have to read this link and come to your own conclusions. He is an OM legacy and this is an OM scouting site. In addition 24/7 lists that he was being recruited by OM Coaches Nix and Kiffin and he had attended their camps.

Also, there is also the cloud of the OM NCAA violations. They have self imposed some penalties but...they seem pretty lame versus the offenses committed. It could be there is a bigger shoe to be dropped.

In years past we would not go so hard after this kind of player due to the fear of losing them if a P5 school offered later on. Then we sweat it out for months until that LOI arrives. But i feel like we will not see many defections from this class. Especially if we get the invite later this year.

SP was up 30 something to ziltch in the 1st quarter. i dont anything abut the team they played but SP sure must have some awesome cheerleaders, they're a team worth watching fo sho,

hold that.. i've seen where SP beat hamilton this wkend and get beaten by Clinton. i'm cornfused about the accuracy and time line here. it'll all play out ok, i guess. this dude's truly got it going, all said and done
