I'm if the opinion that Malik will never see the court. He will practice for a year, and hope to get projected for a first round selection, and bail for the NBA. I don't think we are missing out to be honest.

Why wouldn't he have just gone into the draft this year then? Sitting out for a year practicing isn't going to help his draft stock any.

The publicity alone would have been HUGE for WKU. It would have continued the recent momentum with recruiting and excited the fan base. Robinson is a verbal commit and can back out at any time while Newman would have signed the dotted line in order to transfer.

Well not all hope is lost we are still front runners for another Louisiana kid who is ranked 65th nationally and 4 start....Plus we are after 2 really good players in state who we may be in the lead for....We will be ok....

Verbal commits don't mean squat. Hell signing doesn't mean squat any more either. UTEP got Isaac Hamilton (McDonalds All American) to sign and he backed out of his commitment and sat out a year so he could play at UCLA. I hope he plays for WKU but don't get your hopes up until he is attending fall classes and has started practicing with the team. UTEP fans (myself included) have had to learn this the hard way.

He might be moving to bg and live with his godfather. Just a rumor we heard.

No doubt, until I see them on the court in a jersey my reaction is always tempered. Now in Mitchell's case with his step dad on the staff and rumors of him transferring to BG High my confidence runs quite a bit higher.

Did y'all land anyone for the 2016-2017 season?

We have a couple of freshmen point guards coming in. We have a 6'6" freshman forward from Australia coming in. We have 3 transfers coming in from P5 conferences (two from Tennessee including a 6'8" jumping jack, and a guard from Washington State). And to round it out we have a guard transfer from Providence.

We are pretty excited for next year. Don't think anyone was expecting him to land the guys he got so quickly for next year. I could easily seems being better than last year or worse. If we gel quickly I see us better.

We were pretty good as far as post players for next year, but things weren't looking optimistic until the 2 grad transfers signed. All of a sudden, we have a chance to be very very good.
