Of the others I pick FAU as #1. For overall atmosphere I pick USM. WKU was ok just too darn small and no way could I get anything to eat there. The lines were unreal. I just waited and stopped along I-65 after the game.
There are at least 15 different places to get food at Western's stadium.....each of those having two or more windows. I guess you only tried the one closes to the Marshall fans? I've heard it's worse up top...I wouldn't know. But you would not be the first to complain if that were the case.
But in my experience waiting till halftime to go get something to eat will probably lead to long lines everywhere. One other thing Western is probably lacking in the number of what I call "stadium food"...hotdog/hamburger/pop corn/fries/coke. Can't have a upgraded list of places/things to eat and still have 15 stadium food outlets.
But if you really wanted something to eat you had the whole 2nd half ...after kickoff to get it. Really wouldn't have missed any action you really cared to see
Most stadiums that I been to in SBC/CUSA are mostly stadium food
The only stadiums I haven't watched a Western game in in person is UTEP, Charlotte, Texas-San Antonio, UAB, and North Texas. The only ones I haven't seen in person is UTEP and UNT.
As far as rating them ....I'm not a big fan of dropping a stadium in a hole in the ground then a erector set around it. Or a erector set without some type of brick. block, concrete enclosing it so you don't see the "erector set".
One thing can change that (for me)...LOCATION. So with that FAU on location only would be my pick out of the stadiums I've seen a Western game
I liked the old style look at ODU but hated our seats and the seating arrangement in the stadium...which is changing.
