Presidential Polls - State by State
I thought I'd create a separate thread for presidential polling in the individual states. Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling firm released several today. I guess that is as good a place to start as anywhere.

Pennsylvania Trump 42 Clinton 46 +4
Ohio Trump 40 Clinton 44 +4
Iowa Trump 39 Clinton 41 +2
Arizona Trump 44 +4 Clinton 40
New Hampshire Trump 39 Clinton 43 +4
Wisconsin Trump 39 Clinton 47 +8

Geez, what a terrible state our country is in. Trump and Clinton are the two biggest shitbags to ever run for president. I don't care what y'all say, even if I lived in a swing state id still vote Johnson.

When dealing with incumbents, it is much more important to look at the incumbents’ number than the challengers’ number, since undecideds usually break against the incumbent.

the incumbent party polls under 50% ...

That is an interesting observation. I wonder if it translates from incumbent to non-incumbent in the same party?

Who carries Lake Wobegon?

Strongly in the hands of passive-aggressive, conservative Norwegians who hate outsiders but vote Democrat because that's what the Lutheran minister said was the right thing to do.

I agree.

I will say though that if Hillary continues to hitch her wagon to Warner?....She will force me to vote for Trump.

This is why it would be a very bad idea for Clinton to tap Warner for VP. She is a great attack dawg but Clinton doesn't need to link too closely with her. Let her hammer away on Trump on her own. Kaine or some other subdued candidate with experience as a governor needs to be the pick.

she's the presumptive nominee of the party in power ...

Warren would be a fantastic choice for VP. You don't want a boring white guy like Lieberman was in 2000 who does nothing for the ticket. Warren brings excitement and crowds and elevating her will elevate her platform to attack Trump. It also burnishes Hillary's progressive bona fides. The Dems outnumber the Republicans in this country and to win we just need to turn out our base.

I disagree. Warner is too strong a personality and we should already have the progressive wing in tow. We need to reassure the moderates and not overshadow Clinton. The centrists both in the party and independents need to feel comfortable about the ticket. I want Wall Street to be held accountable, but I also want Wall Street to function efficiently. I want stability. I'm too close to retirement to see my 401k turned upside down. Trump is a threat to that, but with Warner on the ticket the uncertainty also exists with the Democrats. It would destroy that major reason to oppose Trump. Balance is important. Warner shifts perception too far to the left.
