They don't have Rockhead listed as the CUSA recordholder for yards per rush for a season. He averaged 8.57 per carry in 2014.

You don't see USC going by Southern California.

Actually, since South Carolina has pushed the USC thing I have seen a resurgence of TV and talk radio using Southern Cal. I really don't care what people use as long as it's easily identifiable to one school.

Makes sense. Most people in Virginia call Virginia Tech "Tech" but if you went to Georgia or Louisiana and said "Tech" they would think of their state's Tech schools. I have heard "Southern California" a lot more recently (on ESPN and other national sports networks) , and I don't know if it's because I'm on the east coast and people have started calling S.Carolina "USC" a lot more recently. It's just like if I said I go to OSU, could you guess which OSU I was referring to? Lol

Don't know if it really matters. They haven't followed the written tiebreaker in either of the 2 years since 2013 they had to use it. I know everyone goes back to the 2013 BCS rating fiasco, but people tend to forget that C-USA put out a release in 2014 with Marshall hosting that didn't follow the letter of the tiebreak either because the written some of the rating systems in the written tiebreak weren't available at the time.

It's really not that hard to come up with a tiebreaker that a.) works, and b,) is capable of being performed the day the regular season ends.

In any case, how a school wants to be known is their choice. That is the opinion of most of us at RU.

That extra syllable in the W just keeps me saying "Western"
